BC10 Russell BASE HockeyFun Curve

The Russell is known to be a fun curve because of it's wicked toe curve and amazing toe drag potential. It's great for a dangler who wants to get the defenseman's jock wrapped around his ears.

Toe Drag Shooting

Pulling the puck in with a toe drag and shooting is one of the most dangerous shots in hockey. The more you can change the angle during your load up, the goalie is going to have a harder time anticipating how to play your shot. Pull it in, shoot against the grain, and watch the goalie freeze.

Toe Down

The Russell is one of those curves you have to be very careful with because of it's open face. Make sure you bring the puck back a little bit extra so you can get your toe down overtop of the puck. That way, you'll have more time to load it up and less chance of flicking it where this curve will likely send the puck 42 rows up.
